Autoquest continues to be one of the best equipped entry-level coach-built motorhomes on the market today with a huge range of optional extras available to suit every need.
Several models (100, 130, 145 and 180) now boast an all-new curved hi-line design. The new Luton overhead cab, designed with a sleek aerodynamic profile, provides 15% more bed width and up to 10% more headroom and has a stylish new window, too.

Explorer Group is proud to be the first UK Manufacturer to have been awarded EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA) for the Compass Avantgarde and Elddis Autoquest Motor Caravan ranges. Working together with the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and in advance of future legislation, this achievement reflects Explorer's forward-thinking and commitment to continuous improvement.
This approval ensures that all Explorer Group Motor Caravan vehicles, systems and components meet stringent EC environmental and safety standards.
The ECWVTA Certification was presented on 14 October 2008 by VCA's Nic Fasci at a press conference at the International Caravan and Motorhome show at Birmingham NEC.
Exterior Styling
Further flourishes to the exterior not only look impressive, but also ensure greater safety. Aluminium two-piece sides, with a smooth finish and clean new graphics and wraparound bumper create appeal. Side skirt mounted marker lights meet ECC regulations and provide additional vehicle illumination for added road safety, with a new high mounted LED stop-light to the rear.
The new wider bodied cab has excellent all round visibility and can produce 100bhp/250NM torque. Combined with the responsiveness of the smooth 5-speed gearbox the Autoquest is always a pleasure to drive, with driver's airbag, assisted ABS and disc brakes as standard.
Interior Living Space
The spacious interior features sprung upholstery with a fresh, new design for 2009, curtains with matching tie-backs, and coordinating loose lay carpets. Shaker-style Montreal Maple furniture brings out the true warmth and richness of the beautiful interior design. Whilst larger than average windows, thoughtful layouts and a range of lighting give this ever-popular range a unique and spacious appeal.
The kitchen provides all home comforts, with Spinflo duplex combination oven and grill and 3-burner hob with high-speed multi function burner and grill. The 92L refrigerator ensures you stay stocked up with all your holiday supplies. As with all Explorer Group models, the Autoquest comes complete with exclusive Chinchilla glass worktops over the sink and hob, providing you with virtually indestructible additional worktops.
To create another 2009 model enhancement, Explorer Group has teamed up with long-term supplier Whale to create an all-new pressurized water system. The on-board pump with domestic style metal taps and pressurized system ensure far greater comfort and ease-of-use. The pump can be connected directly to the campsite's mains water supply, auxiliary water tank or Aquarol, automatically topping up the on-board tank without the need for a manual changeover – and with the added benefit of an automatic shut-off when full.
For driving comfort and practicality, the cab itself is packed with features such as fully upholstered seats, overhead parcel shelf and plenty of handy storage for maps, tour guides and refreshments.
